The car that wouldn't shut the fuck up...

I arrive home tired and a little bothered. I hear a car alarm and think nothing of it. You know, the kind you believe that some car just set off with the muffler because it made the ground shake. You think it's just the car alarm set on sensative. I should probably set up the time that I got home. I got home almost 8.00 p.m. Hearing car alarms every once in a while happens you know? Everyone's heard at one time or another.

Well then I keep hearing the same alarm. Now I start to wonder because I get curious as to what kind of car is it? Where is it located? Why is it going off every two minutes? I'm in my room and it's about a quarter of a block away and I still hear it with the TV volume turned up to almost 50.

It then becomes later at night. It's 11.05 p.m. and I still hear the same car alarm. At this point it's just annoying and since no one (all the neighbors did not call or anything) I decided to do something. Rather than calling 911 because I looked up who you would call I found out the nearest station and e-mailed them. I emailed the station with the following information:

I am writing because there is a white Mercedes Benz that has a car alarm that goes off every couple of minutes. When I arrived home tonight it was already sounding. It is now 11 pm at night and it is still going off. The car is located on the corner of 18th and XXXXXXX. If you turn right on XXXXXX it is the second card before you reach 18th avenue. If you could have someone either locate the owner of the car and or have it towed I'd appreciate it and I'm sure the rest of the neighbors would too.

If you need to reach me my cell phone number is 415-xxx-xxxx. I do not know who's car that is nor do I have the license plate number. My name is Monkey.

That is what I put down. I believe I emailed that at about 11.09 p.m. and within about 20 minutes to about half an hour there was this truck noise I heard. I thought it might have been a delivery truck for Safeway or something. I find out it's a tow truck ready to take the car and there is a police car there too. While they were trying to tow the car I bet and believe they heard and understood what I was talking about. As they were trying to remove the car the alarm continued to sound.

My theory is this: if you can have a nice car then you can afford to pay the fee to get your car back from the impound lot. Should your car keep making annoying noises and someone who has pretty good hearing they will call and have your car towed.

Lesson here: If your car alarms keeps going for hours and hours I'm going to have it towed at YOUR expense and that's too fucking bad for you. If the people with in a half block radius has to hear your alarm go off for hours on end and don't complain I will. Watch where you park your car because if that alarm goes off for more than an hour expect it to be gone from the place you parked.

This has been a public service announcement for those that drive a nice expensive car and leave it unattended for more than three hours and knew the alarm would go off that often.

I wish I had a picture of the car being towed and or the car before. But I don't.
