Black Friday...

If you all didn't know I spend Thanksgiving in San Diego. This one will be my first and last I'd say. I have never been so tired and so shocked in my life. So Cal pwns Nor Cal with Black Friday. I woke up with very little sleep to head over to Fryz for some deals. Little would I know what I would be expecting. We pulled into the wrong parking lot and that alone already had me freaked out. It was where a Wal Mart was. There was a line like you wouldn't believe.

We did end up leaving that lot to head over to the correct lot. There was a line that wrapped around the building at Fryz. I kid you not! There were beds and make shift cart forts. The line wrapped around the building before it opened. I might add I arrived at about 4am. You can imagine how long others were there for. It was sort of cold too.

This was something I wasn't prepared for. I was so tired I took a nap. I kid you not. The girl that never naps not even after a Black Friday in year's past just had to. Something about being in a car and for long distances that just put me to sleep.

I wish I had pictures of how long the line was, but I'm pretty sure I'd get hurt. There were many college students from UCSD and SDSU. I have no idea why they'd be there, but of course it's the holidays so that's why they were there.

Horoscope: Good results can't always be ensured, but they can always be hoped for. Be positive. Long-held investments start to pay off. Long-cherished projects finally come to fruition. Success breeds more of the same. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way and exploit each to its limits.

Friendster...

That's today's topic. I have no idea why, but I'm hooked on it. It's my new "thing". It's the older version of MySpace. I have spent I don't know...maybe a week now on it, but hours maybe 72+?

You just kind of wonder how did Jane turn out? How did John turn out? It's really one of those curiosity things.

If anyone even reads this via my friendster and you know me from either elementary school, middle school, or even high school please say hi to me. I can be your friend in your travels around the states.

I learned something today...

OK it really took me about a week to figure out this one, but better late than never right? Well I reported that I went to the Rolling Stones concert on Monday because I had tickets from work. Yes, never in my wildest dreams I believe I?d go to a Rolling Stones concert.

I was sitting in section 239 and for a couple of songs I was able to sort of see Mick Jagger dancing like Curious George. Granted I don?t have perfect vision, but I knew it was him.

The opener was Van Morrison. The only song of theirs that I knew was Brown Eye Girl only because of some obscure memory I remember hearing after Lacy Peterson?s mother said that was her favorite song.

OK now that you all have an idea of who I?m talking about or the group I?ll get to the point of this entry. Van Morrison sang Crazy Love. For some of you who watched 90210 would know that song because Brian McKnight covered it and they showed him singing it at the end of a couple of the episodes. I thought I know that song. I didn?t know that Brian covered that song.

The other song that I knew well was Wild Nights because John Mellencamp covered that song back in the 90s as well. If you don?t know who he is well let me tell you. He?s the guy that sings the song This is Our Country in the Chevrolet car commercials and was on every other time (or it seemed like it) during the World Series.

Now you know a couple of the songs of the 90s was originally done by someone older.
