New toy!

I finally got a working blue tooth that works with my phone! One that charges too! That's the main part that had to work. It was pretty easy to set up. Those that I spoke with couldn't tell I was on blue tooth. I'm happy. It's like I have speaker phone with me without having to stand at one spot. It was a good deal for about $6.50 after rebate.

Clueless?

This morning I''m getting into the car with my Giants jacket on. See picture. My mom asks me, "Are you going to the game?" In my head I was going, "WTF? Are you kidding me?" I replied, "No."

What would cause her to think I was going to a baseball game in October? I'm sure the news would report that the Giants are in the playoffs and there are games. I think it has to be one of those generation things and the fact that my parents live in their own world and not in the 21st century.

I have to begin to wonder if culture is a major part of it. My mom went to one (1) Giants game and that was in 1995 and read a romance novel and thought the game was boring. She tried to learn the game during the season, but never followed through. I don't think she understands why I like baseball.

I'll explain why: it allows me to leave the house. It lets me meet other people. It gives me something to look forward to during the summer and allows me to see the country. Since I've been getting back into baseball it has allowed me to go to places I don't think I would have ever gone to. I've been to New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Illinois, Arizona, Maryland, and a couple of other states. Mostly, it allows me to see things that I've always wanted to see in other cities. When I went to New York, I was able to see the Empire State building and to see the Statue of Liberty, although from a distance, I was still able to see it. I went to the United Nations center. I've been to more Chinatowns around the states that my mom has. Granted I'd rather be going overseas, but seeing this country and what it has to offer has helped me understand why certain cities are bitter and what their main focus is sports. Sports in general bond people together. Baseball, football, basketball, etc. allow people to come together to cheer for a team or a person.

There are cities that I know I will never go back to after being treated a certain way unless it was for business or something. There are those that I would go back to see more and experience more because the time that I was there wasn't enough. I know that I'll be going back to New York because I didn't get to see Shea Stadium. I know I'll be back to Minneapolis because they're getting a new ballpark and I want to see it.

I digressed and now back to the point. Why can't parents pay attention to the news and figure out what's going on? My mom watches her Chinese soap operas and doesn't really know what's going on. I understand that she does a lot of the housework and I try to help out when I can, but she should watch more American shows. Another example would be last week Monday. There was a shooting at 17th and Noriega. She thought it was Sunday. She also wondered why she didn't hear it nor my dad. They were both watching TV and it was a block away. There is also noise from 19th Avenue as well. She asked me if I knew about it and I said no. When I have on the TV the only time I hear any sort of siren is a fire truck. My other thing is would you like to know there was a shooting just up the street from you? I wouldn't. Sometimes it's better to be ignorant that to know the truth.

I think I'm done ranting now.

Horoscope: People are awfully full of themselves today and might make totally unreasonable demands that they think are perfectly normal. Push back as much as you can, but you still may have to cater to them.

Worn Me Down - Rachael Yamagata

Gone, she's gone
How do you feel about it
That's what I thought
You're real torn up about it
And I wish you the best
But I could do without it
And I will, because you've worn me down
Oh, I will, because you've worn me down

Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told
Worn me down to my knees
I did everything to please
But you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her

And you're wrong, you're wrong
I'm not overreacting
Something is off
Why don't we ever believe ourselves
And I, oh, I feel that word for you
And I will, because you've worn me down
Oh, I will because you have worn me down

Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told
Worn me down to my knees
I did everything to please
But you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her

She's so pretty; she's so damn right
But I'm so tired of thinking
About her tonight

Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told
Worn me down to my knees
I did everything to please
But you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her

Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told
Worn me down to my knees
I did everything to please
Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told to me to do
But you, you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her

Why is there the pressure from parent to get married??

I went to my grandpa's birthday yesterday and my mom was talking with my step grandmother's sister (not sure the correct term is) and her daughter. Why is it such a fascination with others to ask why isn't your daughter dating?

Last time I checked it was the person who is single that was the one finding a boyfriend and then getting married. Anyway back to my story, the daughter was saying you can't force someone to find someone to get married to. Honestly, I totally agree. It's like why can a guy be a bachelor and why can't a girl be a bachelorette? Her mother was saying all she does is go out and have fun. My mom was saying well at least she meets other people. Then my mother goes, all she does it go to baseball games with old people. Um, excuse me. There aren't "OLD" people there.

There are many people there. Hell I could have gone to a singles night event which is a giant hook up party with alcohol, but I choose not to because the guys there are only after some loving and not a real person.

I think sometimes you meet the person in the strangest places and under the strangest circumstances. I bet my mom doesn't know how her coworker who's getting married next month met. It was through Craigslist. People can meet people and if they get along it's great. If they don't get along then that's another story.

If anything my mother should just give up on me finding someone to be with. Honestly, I haven't done everything I wanted to do yet. Why would I want to be married and have a family if I haven't done everything I wanted when I was single? I mean there are places I want to see either with friends or just alone so that maybe I can hope that the one special person is out there for me. It's not like my mother hooks me up with people. She doesn't go, oh so and so's son is single. Goodness, if you want me to meet someone either do it the old fashion way of a blind date or by introduction.

Just because you got married young and had kids, doesn't mean I will do the same. The times are different and you fail to recognize that. I do want to get married and have children someday, but not right now. I like going on vacations to other places I haven't been before. Because once you have children, you'll have to wait until they're old enough to take care of themselves before you can go. Who knows what you'll be like later on in life. I'd rather do the carpe diem (seize the day) now.

When and if I meet the perfect guy and if I think he's totally the one for me, I'm sure you'll be so happy that you won't even care what he looks like or anything. God, my family is not normal at all, and I don't think others are either.

Horoscope: Today should bring quite a few accomplishments your way and set you up for even greater success in the future! It's a great time for you to slow down and take everything as it comes. You've gotten a lot achieved recently, but don't get too hung on being productive.

I Wanna Get Next To You - Rose Royce

Sittin' here in this chair waitin' on you
Ah baby, to see things my way
But not a word do you say
You won't even look my way
Boy, I'm spending my dimes, wasting
My time, talking till I'm black and blue
Ah, can't you see I wanna get next to you

Dreams of you and I go sailing by
Whenever your eyes meet mine
(You're so fine)
And boy you make me feel so insecure
You're so beautiful and pure,
Why must you be unkind
(And tell me I'm not your kind, blowin my mind)
Boy, my, my money is low and I know
That I can't take you to the
Fancy places you might wanna go
Still I wanna get next to you
I wanna get next to you

Boy, you can bend me, shake me, make me
Whatever it takes to please you
I'm willing to do
'Cause you're my dream come true
And I wanna get next to you

I wanna get next to you
I wanna make you mine (for all the time)
I wanna get next to you
I promise I'll never make you blue
I wanna get next to you
I wanna get next to you

Oh What A Night - Four Seasons

Oh, what a night.
Late December back in '63.
What a very special time for me,
'Cause I remember what a night.

Oh, what a night.
You know, I didn't even know her name,
But I was never gonna be the same.
What a lady. What a night.

Oh, I. I got a funny feeling when she walked
In the room and I,
As I recall it ended much too soon.

Oh, what a night,
Hypnotizing, mesmerizing me.
She was everything I dreamed she'd be.
Sweet surrender, what a night!

I felt a rush like a rolling bolt of thunder
Spinnin' my head around and taking my body under.
Oh, what a night!

Oh, I. I got a funny feeling when she walked
In the room and I,
As I recall it ended much too soon.

Oh, what a night.
Why'd it take so long to see the light?
Seemed so wrong, but now it seems so right.
What a lady, what a night!

I felt a rush like a rolling bolt of thunder
Spinnin' my head around and taking my body under.
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do

Study: Chimps calm each other with hugs, kisses

By RANDOLPH E. SCHMID, AP Science Writer Mon Jun 16, 9:16 PM ET

WASHINGTON - For most folks, a nice hug and some sympathy can help a bit after we get pushed around. Turns out, chimpanzees use hugs and kisses the same way. And it works. Researchers studying people's closest genetic relatives found that stress was reduced in chimps that were victims of aggression if a third chimp stepped in to offer consolation.

"Consolation usually took the form of a kiss or embrace," said Dr. Orlaith N. Fraser of the Research Center in Evolutionary Anthropology and Paleoecology at Liverpool John Moores University in England.

"This is particularly interesting," she said, because this behavior is rarely seen other than after a conflict.

"If a kiss was used, the consoler would press his or her open mouth against the recipient's body, usually on the top of the head or their back. An embrace consisted of the consoler wrapping one or both arms around the recipient."

The result was a reduction of stress behavior such as scratching or self-grooming by the victim of aggression, Fraser and colleagues report in Tuesday's edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Frans de Waal of the Yerkes Primate Center at Emory University in Atlanta said the study is important because it shows the relationship between consolation and stress reduction. Previous researchers have claimed that consolation had no effect on stress, said de Waal, who was not part of Fraser's research team.

"This study removes doubt that consolation really does what the term suggests: provide relief to distressed parties after conflict. The evidence is compelling and makes it likely that consolation behavior is an expression of empathy," de Waal said.

De Waal suggested that this evidence of empathy in apes is "perhaps equivalent to what in human children is called 'sympathetic concern.'"

That behavior in children includes touching and hugging of distressed family members and "is in fact identical to that of apes, and so the comparison is not far-fetched," he said.

While chimps show this empathy, monkeys do not, he added.

There is also suggestive evidence of such behavior in large-brained birds and dogs, said Fraser, but it has not yet been shown that it reduces stress levels in those animals.

Previous research on conflict among chimps concentrated on cases where there is reconciliation between victim and aggressor, with little attention to intervention by a third party.

Fraser and colleagues studied a group of chimps at the Chester Zoo in England from January 2005 to September 2006, recording instances of aggression such as a bite, hit, rush, trample, chase or threat.

The results show that "chimpanzees calm distressed recipients of aggression by consoling them with a friendly gesture," Fraser said.

Consolation was most likely to occur between chimpanzees who already had valuable relationships, she added.

The research was supported by the Leakey Trust.

Horoscope: The situation at work seems impossible, but if you keep hammering away at it, you should find a good answer. It may take a while, but today's efforts should pay off quite handsomely!

Fantasy - Mariah Carey

Oh, when you walk by every night
Talking sweet and looking fine
I get kinda hectic inside
Mmm, baby I'm so into you
Darling, if you only knew
All the things that flow through my mind

Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes
You come and you take me
So deep in my daydreams
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
Fantasy

Images of rapture
Creep into me slowly
As you're going to my head
And my heart beats faster
When you take me over
Time and time and time again

Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes
You come and you take me
So deep in my daydreams
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby

Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes
You come and you take me
So deep in my daydreams
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
Fantasy

I'm in heaven
With my boyfriend
My laughing boyfriend
There's no beginning
And there is no end
Feels like I'm dreaming
But I'm not sleeping

Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes
You come and you take me
So deep in my daydreams
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
Fantasy

Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes
You come and you take me
So deep in my daydreams
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
Fantasy

Sweet, sweet fantasy baby
Sweet, sweet fantasy baby

Picture of You - Boyzone

Didn't they say that I would make a mistake
Didn't they say you were gonna be trouble
People told me you were too much to take
I could see it, I didn't wanna know
I let you in and you let me down
You pushed me up and you turned my whole life around
I could feel that I had no where to go
I was alone, how was I too know that..
You'll be there, when I needed somebody
You'll be there, the only one who can help me

I had a picture of you in my mind
never knew it could be so wrong
Why'd it take me so long just to find
the friend that was there all along.

Who'd believe that after all we've been through
I'd be able to put my whole trust in you
Goes to show you can't forgive and forget
looking back, I have no regrets cause..

You will be there, when I needed somebody
You will be there, the only one to help me

I had a picture of you in my mind
Never knew it could be so wrong
Why'd it take me so long just to find
the friend that was there all along

You will be there, when I needed somebody
You will be there, the only one to help me

I had a picture of you in my mind
never knew it could be so wrong
Why'd it take me so long just to find
the friend that was there all along

All That I Need - Boyzone

I was lost and alone
Trying to grow, making my way down that long winding road
Had no reason, no rhyme
Like a song out of time
And there you were, standing in front of my eyes
How could I be such a fool
To let go of love and break all the rules
Girl when you walked out that door
left a hole in my heart
And now I know for sure

You're the air that I breathe
Girl you're all that I need
And I wanna thank you, lady
You're the words that I read
You're the light that I see
And your love is all that I need

I was searching in vain
Playing a game
Had no-one else but myself left to blame
You came into my world
No diamonds or pearls
Could ever replace what you gave to me girl

Just like a castle of sand
Girl, I almost let love slip right out of my hands
And just like a flower needs rain
I will stand by your side through the joy and the pain

[CHORUS X 2]

You're all that I need, girl
You're the air that I breathe, yeah
And I want to thank you
(and I want to thank you, lady)

You're the words that I read, girl
You're love is all I need, yeah
And I want to thank you
(and I want to thank you, lady)

You're all that I need, girl
You're the air that I breathe, yeah
And I want to thank you..

Baby Can I Hold You Tonight - Boyzone

"I'm sorry,"
It's all that you can say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like "sorry" (like "sorry"..like "sorry"..)
"Forgive me,"
is all that you can say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like "forgive me" ("forgive me"..."forgive me"..)
Forgive me..

But you can say, baby
Baby can I hold you tonight?
Baby, if I told you the right words
oooh, at the right time
You'll be mine

I love you
is all that you can say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily (words don't come easily..)
Like "I love you", I love you..

But you can say, baby
Baby can I hold you tonight?
Baby, if I told you the right words
oooh, at the right time
You'll be mine

(Baby can I hold you...)
But you can say, baby
Baby can I hold you tonight?
Baby, if I told you the right words
oooh, at the right time
You'll be mine

(Baby, if I hold you..)
(Baby, can I hold you..) You'll be mine..
(Baby if I told you..)
(Baby, can I hold you..)
You'll be mine..
(Baby if I told you..)
Baby, can I hold you.

No Matter What - Boyzone

Chica cha ha ha
Chica cha ha ha
Chica cha ha ha
Chica cha ha ha
Chica cha ha ha
Chica cha ha ha
No matter what they tell us
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach us
What we believe is true

No matter what they call us
However they attack
No matter where they take us
We'll find our own way back

I can't deny what I believe
I can't be what I'm not
I know our love forever
I know, no matter what

If only tears were laughter (ooh)
If only night was day (ooh)
If only prayers were answered (hear my prayers)
Then we would hear God say (say)

No matter what they tell you (ooh)
No matter what they do (ooh)
No matter what they teach you
What we believe is true

And I will keep you safe and strong
And shelter from the storm
No matter where it's barren
A dream is being born

(Ooh)

No matter who they follow
No matter where they lead
No matter how they judge us
I'll be everyone you need

No matter if the sun don't shine (sun don't shine)
Or if the skies are blue (skies are blue)
No matter what the end is
My life began with you

I can't deny what I believe (what I believe, yeah)
I can't be what I'm not
(I know, I know) I know this love's forever
That's all that matters now
No matter what

No matter what (no, no matter, no)

No, no matter
That's all that matters to me

Oh Girl - Chi-Lites

Oh girl, I'd be in trouble if you left me now
'Cause I don't know where to look for love
I just don't know how
Oh girl, how I depend on you
To give me love when I need it
Right on time, you would always be

All my friends, call me a fool
They say "let the woman take care of you"
So I tried to be hip, and think like the crowd
But even the crowd can't help me now, oh

Oh girl, tell me what am I gonna do
I know I've got a guilty face
Girl I feel so out of place
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah

Don't know where to go, who to see, yeah

Oh girl, I guess I better go
I can save myself a lot of useless tears
Girl I gotta get away from here

Oh girl, pain will double if you leave me now
'Cause I don't know where to look for love
And I don't, I don't know how, oh yeah, mm

Oh girl, why do I love you so, yeah

Hmmm, better be on my way, I can't stay, yeah
Have you ever seen such an empty face.

Time To Say Goodbye - Sarah Brightman

Quando sono sala
Sogno all'orrizonte
E mancan le parole
Si lo sa che nono ce luce
In una stanza quando manca il sole
Si non ci sei tu con me, con me

Su le finestre
Monstra a tutti il mio cuore
Che hai accesso
Chiundi dentro me
La luce che hai incontrato per strada

Time to say goodbye,
Paesi che no ho mai
Veduto e visssuto con te
Adesso si li vivro con te partiro
Su navi per mari
Che io lo so
No no non essitono piu,
It's time to say goodbye

Quando sei lontana
Sogno all'orizzonte
E mancan le parole
E io si lo so che sei con me

Tu mia lunatu sei qui con me
Mio sole tu sei qui con me ,con me,
Con me,con me

Time to say goodbye
Paesi che no ho mai
Veduto e vissuto con te
Adesso si li vivro
Con te partiro
Su navi per mari
Che io lo so
No no non esitono piu
Con te io li rivivro
Con te partiro
Su navi per mari
Che io lo so
No no non esistono piu
Con te io li rivivro
Con te parti ro

Lo con te

CON TE PARTIRĂ’
I’LL GO WITH YOU

When I’m alone
I dream on the horizon and words fail;
yes, I know there is no light
in a room where the sun is absent,
if you are not with me, with me.
At the windows show everyone my heart
which you set alight; enclose within me
the light you encountered on the street.

I’ll go with you,
to countries I never saw and shared with you,
now, yes, I shall experience them.
I’ll go with you on ships across seas
which, I know, no, no, exist no longer;
with you I shall experience them.

When you are far away
I dream on the horizon And words fail,
and, Yes, I know that you are with me;
you, my moon, are here with me,
my sun, you are here with me,
with me, with me, with me.

I’ll go with you,
To countries I never saw and shared with you,
now, yes, I shall experience them.
I’ll go with you on ships across seas
which, I know, no, no, exist no longer,
with you I shall experience them again.
I’ll go with you
On ships across seas which, I know,
No, no, exist no longer;
with you I shall experience them again.
I’ll go with you,
I with you.

Kung Fu Panda...

This movie was fun to watch. The preview made me want to watch it from the start. It just had the kid appeal to it as well as adults. I laughed a lot during the movie. There are certain character voices that would make you think twice about, but if you're not sure check out the website. The website does have clips from the movie, but it doesn't give away the plot or the ending. One of my favorite movies for animation.

Horoscope: Work-related issues could get pretty hard to deal with today, as everyone is looking out for themselves and there's just way too much ego in the room. Try to bring everyone back down to earth.

My Interaction with a new call up...

This is a picture of my with Brian Horwitz before the game. I called him over and he asked me if I wanted it signed on the sweet spot and I said YES! I have a baseball with a player signing on the sweet spot. WOW.

Horoscope: You may need to put off some important plans for a while -- maybe waiting for a better time, maybe waiting for someone else to sign up. In either case, don't worry about the long term too much.

Did you ever wonder what happned to music?

I went to an event and there was music being played. I knew most of the songs that were almost twice as old as myself. It got me thinking what the hell happened to music? It's just not something that is timeless anymore. I mean the remakes of some songs are great because it turns it a bit more modern, but still the original is fine.

The songs today are crazy. An example would have to be Black Eye Peas My Humps. It's talking about her butt. A song about her ass? Ok, I guess that there have been other songs about "ass", but how many can you name besides Sir Mix-A-Lot and Baby Got Back, Back That Ass Up by Juvenile, and Wreckx-N-Effect Rumpshaker.

Horoscope: It's a great day to commune with nature -- or as close as you can get to it, anyway. Your connection with the real world is deep and potent, so get out there and take in the fresh air for a while!

Listen To The Music - Doobie Brothers

Don't you feel it growin',
Day by day
People
Gettin' ready for the news
Some are happy,
Some are sad
Wo, we got to let the music play
Wo, oh yeah
What the people need
Is a way to make 'em smile
It ain't so hard to do if you know how
Gotta get a message
Get it on through
Oh now mama's goin' to after awhile
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time

Well I know,
You know better
Everything I say
Meet me in the country for a day
We'll be happy
And we'll dance
Wo, we're gonna dance the blues away
Wo, oh yeah
And if I'm feelin' good to you
And you're feelin' good to me
There ain't nothin' we can't do or say
Feelin' good,
Feeling fine
Wo, baby, let the music play

Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time

Like a lazy flowing river
Surrounding castles in the sky
And the crowd is growing bigger
List'nin' for the happy sounds
And I got to let ‘em fly

Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time
God, we gotta let the music play!

Back At One - Brian McKnight

It’s undeniable that we should be together
It’s unbelievable, how I used to say that I’d fall never
The basis is need to know
If you just don’t know how I feel
Then let me show you that now I’m for real
If all the things in time, time will reveal
Yeah

1 - one, you’re like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl it’s plain to see
That you’re the only one for me and
Four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I’ll start back at one

(yeah)
It’s so incredible, the way things work themselves out
And all emotional, once you know what it’s all about, hey
And undesirable, for us to be apart
I never would’ve made it very far
’cause you know you got the keys to my heart
’cause...

Repeat 1

Say farewell to the dark of night
I see the coming of the sun
I feel like a little child, whose life has just begun
You came and breathed new life into this lonely heart of mine
You threw out the life line
Just in the nick of time

Repeat 1 to fade

Insatiable - Darren Hayes

When moonlight crawls along the street
Chasing away the summer heat
Footsteps outside somewhere below
The world revolves I've let it go
We build our church above the street
We practice love between these sheets
The candy sweetness scent of you
It bathes my skin I'm stained in you
And all I have to do is hold you
There's a racing within my heart
And I am barely touching you

[Chorus]

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable

The moonlight plays upon your skin
A kiss that lingers takes me in
I fall asleep inside of you
There are no words
There's only truth
Breathe in, breathe out
There is no sound
We move together up and down
We levitate our bodies soar
Our feet don't even touch the floor
But nobody knows you like I do
'Cause the world they don't understand
That I grow stronger in your hands

[Chorus]

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable

We never sleep we're always holdin' hands
Kissin' for hours talkin' makin' plans
I feel like a better man
Just being in the same room
We never sleep there's just so much to do
So much to say
Can't close my eyes when I'm with you
Insatiable the way I'm loving you

Oh, oh...baby

[Chorus]

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you
Insatiable

Baby...
Oh, baby
Oh, oh
When I look in your eyes
Insatiable
The way I'm loving you
Oh, what can I do?
Insatiable
Insatiable
For you
Insatiable

My love for you
Insatiable (x8)

Santa Monica - Savage Garden

(Verse 1)

In Santa Monica,in the wintertime,
the lazy streets so undemanding
I walk into the crowd
In Santa Monica, you get your coffee from
the coolest places on the promenade
Where people dress just so

(Bridge)
Beauty so unavoidable,
everywhere you turn it's there.
I sit and wonder what am I doing here?

(Chorus)

But on the telephone line I am anyone,
I am anything I want to be.
I could be a super model or Norman Mailer
And you wouldn't know the difference
Or would you?

(Verse 2)

In Santa Monica,
all the people got
modern names like Jake or Mandy
And modern bodies too
In Santa Monica,
on the boulevard,
you'll have to dodge those in-line skaters
Or they'll knock you down

(Bridge)
I never felt so lonely
Never felt so out of place
I never wanted something more than this

(Chorus)

But on the telephone line I am anyone,
I am anything I want to be
I could be a super model or Norman Mailer
And you wouldn't know the difference
On the telephone line I am any height,
I am any age I want to be
I could be a caped crusader, or space invader
And you wouldn't know the difference
Or would you?

Or would you?

(repeat chorus 1 till end)

Truly, Madley, Deeply - Savage Garden

Until the sky falls down over me...

(VERSE 2)

The Prayer - Josh Groban

I pray you’ll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don’t know

Let this be our prayer
As we go our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we’ll be safe
La luce che to dai

I pray we’ll find your light
Nel cuore restero
And hold it in our hearts
A ricordarchi che
When stars go out each night
L’eterna stella sei
Nella mia preghiera
Let this be our prayer
Quanta fede c’e
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace

Give us faith so we’ll be safe.
Sognamo un mondo senza piu violenza

Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace e di fraternita

La forza che ci dai
We ask that life be kind
E’il desiderio che
And watch us from above
Ognuno trovi amore
We hope each soul will find
Intorno e dentro a se
Another soul to love

Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Just like every child

Needs to find a place,
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we’ll be safe
E la fede che
Hai acceso in noi
Sento che ci salvera

I Love You Always Forever - Donna Lewis

Feels like, I'm standing in a timeless dream
Of light mists, of pale amber rose
Feels like, I'm lost in a deep cloud of heavenly scent
Touching, discovering you

Those days, of warm rains come rushing back to me
Miles of windless, summer night air
Secret moments, shared in the heat of the afternoon
Out of the stillness, soft spoken words

Chorus:
I love you, always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere, I will be with you
Everyday, I will devour you
I love you, always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere, I will be with you
Everyday, I will devour you

You've got, the most unbelievable
blue eyes I've ever seen
You've got, me almost melt away
As we lay there, under a blue sky
with pure white stars
Exotic sweetness, a magical time

(Chorus)

Say you'll love, love me forever
Never stop, not for whatever
Near and far and always and
everywhere and everything

Say you'll love, love me forever
Never stop, not for whatever
Near and far and always and
everywhere and everything

Say you'll love, love me forever
Never stop, not for whatever
Near and far and always and
everywhere and everything

(Chorus)

Bitch - Meredith Brooks

I hate the world today
You're so good to me
I know but I can't change
tried to tell you but you look at me like maybe I'm an angel
underneath
innocent and sweet
Yesterday I cried
You must have been relieved to see the softer side
I can understand how you'd be so confused
I don't envy you
I'm a little bit of everything
all rolled into one

Chorus:
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I'm a child, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your health, I'm your dream
I'm nothing in between
You know you wouldn't want it any other way

So take me as I am
This may mean you'll have to be a stronger man
Rest assured that when I start to make you nervous
and I'm going to extremes
tomorrow I will change
and today won't mean a thing

Chorus

Just when you think you've got me figured out
the season's already changing
I think it's cool you do what you do
and don't try to save me

Chorus

I'm a bitch, I'm a tease
I'm a goddess on my knees
when you hurt, when you suffer
I'm your angel undercover
I've been numbed, I'm revived
can't say I'm not alive
You know I wouldn't want it any other way

Pretty Girl - Jon B.

Your lips, your smile, your tenderness, ooh baby
The way you walk, I can't resist your style
When I sleep at night, I dream of you, ooh baby
I wake up wet, thinking of you, ooh baby
How can a man like me
Convince a girl like you
To be his lover and one and only
How can I make you see
That I'm the one for you
And nobody does it like me

[Chorus:]
Hey pretty girl
Can I be your man tonight, baby?
Hey pretty mama
Can I sleep with you tonight?
Hey, pretty girl when you come to my room tonight
I'll make you come through the night

Your legs around my waist so tight
I'll slide down south to taste you right
You taste so good to me
How does a man like me
Seduce a girl like you
How can I make you my one and only
How can I make you scream
There's no one else for you
'And nobody does it like me, baby

[Chorus:]
Hey pretty girl
Can I be your man tonight, baby?
Hey pretty mama
Can I sleep with you tonight?
Hey, pretty girl when you come to my room tonight
I'll make you come through the night

[Bridge:]
There's a candle that's burning in my heart tonight
And the flame is full of my desire
And I can't help but desire you in my bed tonight
And I'll touch you in the places
Where no one's been before
And I'll kiss you in the places
Where men sometimes ignore
And I'll take you to a level
You've never felt before
And though you won't understand it
You'll cry and ask for more

[Chorus:]
Hey pretty girl
Can I be your man tonight, baby?
Hey pretty mama
Can I sleep with you tonight?
Hey, pretty girl when you come to my room tonight
I'll make you come through the night

Someone To Love - Jon B.

[Jon:]
Don't even like to think about
I don't know what I'd do without it
I only know I'll live & not be for your love
Baby you came to me
in my time of need
When I needed you
you were there for me
Baby the love from you
is what got me through
It's because of you, I was able to
give my heart again
You gave me....

[CHORUS:]
Someone to love
Someone to touch
Someone to hold
Someone to know
Someone to love
Someone to trust
Someone to hold
Oh, someone to know

[Face:]
I thought I'd never love again
I thought my life was over, and..
I didn't wanna face or even see another day, baby
Suddenly from nowhere
baby, you appeared
You dried my tears
You cared for me
Maybe your love for me
truly rescued me
It's because of you, I was able to
fall in love again
You gave me someone....

[Chorus]

[Jon:]
For so long in my life
I wouldn't let love inside
But I swallowed my pride
the day you arrived

[Face:]
And now with you by my side
everything is all right
It's because of you, I was able to...

[Jon:]
...Give my heart again (girl)
And you gave me someone to love
and you gave me someone to love
You gave me someone to love
Someone to know
And you gave me someone to love
and you gave me someone to love
You gave me someone to love
Someone to know

[Chorus w/ad-libs to fade]

Nap Time

Though the Practice Is Fading in Some Places, Experts Find Benefits In Midday Slumber. And a Few Firms Are Even Open to Shut-Eye.

By Dennis Drabelle
Special to The Washington Post
Tuesday, April 29, 2008; Page HE01

I never used to be a napper. In fact, daytime slumber was virtually beyond a congenitally wired type like me. My buddies would catch 40 winks on the long bus ride home from our high school, but for me that was out of the question. With age, however, my metabolism has changed. After the double whammy of a late-morning run and lunch, I'm pretty much a goner. I lie down and nod off in much the same way that Marlene Dietrich fell in love in that old song of hers: because I can't help it.

Transcript: Napping to Feed the Brain

Asleep on the Job, and Proud of It. Sort of.

While it lasted, though, my nap resistance put me in sync with the American way of sleep: Do it all at once and strictly at night. Traditionally, we've begrudged ourselves naps. They may be forced on toddlers, recommended for pregnant women and tolerated among senior citizens with nothing better to do, but they've been frowned upon for worker bees in their prime. Recently, however, sleep scientists have discovered advantages to napping, which they view not just as solace but also as something akin to brain food. No longer written off as a cop-out for the weak and the bored, the nap is coming into its own as an element of a healthy life.

When you take a look at American history, we might seem to be a nap-friendly people. After all, some of our most productive figures napped shamelessly during the day, among them Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison. But they probably did so because, like Dietrich, they couldn't help it. Consider the daily schedule Franklin drew up for "The Art of Virtue," a treatise he worked on for 50 years but never finished: Over a 24-hour period, sleep gets allotted a mere five hours. Or take the contemptuous words of Edison: "Sleep is an acquired habit. Cells don't sleep. Fish swim in the water all night. Even a horse doesn't sleep. A man doesn't need any sleep."

If Franklin and Edison followed their own rules for success, their naps were compensatory: They conked out during the day to make up for the sleep they'd skimped on the night before. For these Type A personalities, napping may have been a badge of honor, proof that they disdained sleep as a nuisance to be beggared and cheated. (By the way, Edison may have known a lot about filaments and wires, but he was dead wrong about fish and horses.)

Napping was more valued on the other side of the Atlantic, where the habit's foremost champion was probably Winston Churchill. In "The Gathering Storm," the first volume of his World War II memoirs, the British statesman wrote, "Nature had not intended mankind to work from 8 in the morning until midnight without the refreshment of blessed oblivion which, even if it only lasts 20 minutes, is sufficient to renew all the vital forces."

In southern Europe, naps were woven into the fabric of life. Offices and stores would shut down for two or three hours so that employees could go home, lunch with their family and doze through the hottest part of the day. But Spain, where the siesta is deeply ingrained, has been adjusting to changed circumstances. Especially in big cities, most Spanish workers don't head home at midday anymore (they live too far from the office for this to be practical) or use the time out for sleeping, and the siesta has become a pointless interruption that prolongs the workday until as late as 7:30 p.m. In 2005, the Spanish government canceled the siesta for its employees, although it offered them flex time for easing into the new regimen.

Elsewhere, the nap is winning friends and invigorating people. Some new studies make dramatic claims for it. Taken in the workplace, naps can increase productivity and reduce "general crabbiness," according to a just-concluded 25-year survey of the practice in industrial countries. A study conducted by researchers at the University of Haifa in Israel showed daytime nappers doing better at retaining a newly mastered skill -- bringing a thumb and forefinger together in a certain sequence -- than a control group whose members slept only at night.

Experiments conducted by Matthew A. Tucker of Harvard Medical School suggest that a 45-minute nap can enhance the ability to perform tasks relying upon memory. And Dimitrios Trichopoulos, also at Harvard, has found that among a sample of 23,000 adult Greeks, habitual nappers were 30 percent less likely to die of heart disease.

There is even anecdotal evidence that napping can enhance creativity, including a charming confession made by Salvador Dali. To prime the pump for his surrealist paintings (the melting watch, the human leg with a built-in chest of drawers, etc.), the Catalan-born artist used to take -- and abort -- a nap after lunch. He would sit down with his arms extending beyond the chair's arms. In one hand he would grasp a key between thumb and forefinger. After he fell asleep, his fingers would relax, the key would fall to the floor, the clatter would wake him up, and he would harvest the wild associations common to the first few minutes of sleep.

The recent experiments, along with a relaxation of the old 9-to-5 rigidity, have awakened employers to the benefits of on-the-job sleep. A growing number of companies either make nap rooms available to their employees or encourage them to put their heads down on their desks. High-tech firms with a youthful workforce tend to be cooler with on-the-job snoozing than old-line companies staffed mainly by veterans -- a contrast that shows up here at The Post. The paper's headquarters in downtown Washington lacks a room dedicated to naps, whereas the company's Internet operation in Arlington has a small one set aside for that purpose.

According to information collected by the National Sleep Foundation, Toyota encourages naps at its Tokyo headquarters, where they are easy to take thanks to an energy-conservation policy: During lunch hour, the company turns off its lights. In New York, those who can't find the peace and quiet they need to nap at work (or at home, for that matter) can patronize Yelo, a Manhattan sleep salon at which clients bed down for 20 to 40 minutes at a time. Yelo's slogan: "The city that never sleeps needs a nap!"

All this should please Sara Mednick, perhaps napping's most ardent advocate among American scientists: She's so sold on the practice that she calls a napless existence "the madness of monophasic sleep."

Mednick brings to her discipline not only impressive credentials (she is a professor in the psychiatry department at the University of California at San Diego), but also a popular touch: The cover of her book "Take a Nap! Change Your Life" incorporates a wheel with a dial for fine-tuning your nap schedule. You can also go to Mednick's Web site at http://www.takeanap.info, fill out a brief questionnaire, e-mail in the answers, and in a jiffy your personal nap-need index will land in your mailbox. My score fell in the "mild sleepiness" range, wherein "a nap will not only create a second day but will clear away any daytime sleepiness that will prevent optimal performance." (Churchill knew all about the nap's role as a multiplier of time: "You get two days in one," he declared. "Well, at least one and a half.")

Mednick was in Washington last month to give a talk at the Role of Sleep in Memory and Learning Conference, a co-production of the National Sleep Foundation and the Atlanta School of Medicine. She used slides and cited studies, but above all she projected enthusiasm for her favorite practice. "A perfect nap in the middle of the day," she declared, "is like a mini-night."

But hold on there, Sir Winston and Dr. Sara! Napping may be advisable for most people -- and superior, as many scientists assert, to keeping oneself artificially alert by gulping down coffee, tea, colas, chocolate and other caffeine-laced substances (a case, if ever there was one, of fighting the symptoms without addressing the underlying need). But a tricky question remains: How long should the interlude be? With naps, as with so much else in life, can you have too much of a good thing?

As an insomniac, I take a keen interest in these questions: I've found that if I nap longer than half an hour, or nod off later than about 2 p.m., I'm likely to have trouble falling asleep that night. My concerns were met on the day following Mednick's ode to the nap, when another expert at the conference, Eric Nofzinger of Harvard, drew a distinction between blissful sleepers and tossers like me: "The more you keep insomnia patients awake during the day, the more consolidated sleep they'll get at night."

When I reached Mednick by e-mail, she didn't quarrel with Nofzinger's caveat or my own qualms. "I do believe that people with severe sleep problems should be kept on a strict sleep diet," she wrote back. "What I think would be more helpful than telling [them] not to nap is getting people on a prescribed sleep regimen that incorporates naps. But only short and restricted naps."

Fair enough. Severely troubled sleepers should consult a physician about fixing their slumber, perhaps with naps of suitable length folded in. Those with less dire problems, among whom I number myself, can use trial-and-error to determine what napping coordinates work best for them. As for the lucky rest of you, you're free -- and encouraged -- to nap for as long as 90 minutes per day. (Beyond that, almost everyone runs the risk of encroaching on nighttime sleep.) The point is to inform ourselves about a practice that has all too often been sniffed at, done on the sly and snatched haphazardly.

In a country where fewer than half of us say we regularly get a good night's sleep, naps are increasingly important restoratives, and we owe it to ourselves to take them right.

Day 4 Allergies...

You know this year totally sucks. I have been sick at least twice in the past two months and at almost the same time. This is terrible. With no insurance and having to buy it myself I'm a little reserve about buying any at all.

I'm feeling better, but as I watch the news and see winds in the inland parts it gets me scared as I will start sneezing and it'll make me miserable. At least tonight I can stay home and just chill out. It's a Lincecum night and I'm dying to see how much this kid can do. It's like my little brother is a baseball player and is taking the mound. My mind is so warped, but he is around my brother's age.

I'm just looking forward to when I can be healthy as healthy is for me without tissues and cold and cough medicine.

Horoscope: A friend or coworker suggests a scheme that seems to wild to even consider. Let it roll around in your mind, but make sure you're just as skeptical toward this as you would be if a stranger suggested it.

Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis

Closed off from love
I didn't need the pain
Once or twice was enough
And it was all in vain
Time starts to pass
Before you know it you're frozen

But something happened
For the very first time with you
My heart melts into the ground
Found something true
And everyone's looking round
Thinking I'm going crazy

But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open

Trying hard not to hear
But they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears
Try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal
Is to keep me from falling

But nothing's greater
Than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness
I see your face
Yet everyone around me
Thinks that I'm going crazy, maybe, maybe

But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open

And it's draining all of me
Oh they find it hard to believe
I'll be wearing these scars
For everyone to see

I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love

If I Fell - Beatles

If I fell in love with you
Would you promise to be true
And help me understand
'cause I've been in love before
And I found that love was more
Than just holding hands

If I give my heart to you
I must be sure
From the very start
That you would love me more than her

If I trust in you, oh please
Don't run and hide
If I love you too, oh please
Don't hurt my pride like her
'cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two
cause I couldn't stand the pain
and I would be sad if our new love was in vain

so I hope you see that I
would love to love you
and that she will cry when she learns we are two.

If I fell in love with you

In My Life - Beatles

There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends
I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
there is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

I finally activated my phone!

Yes, I have. It only took me 3 months to do so. Maybe a little less. Maybe exactly 3 months. Oh whatever. Here is a picture of the model. I am super slow and had I known (and I did) you could call 611 from the phone it would have been activated already. I figured well since I'm going away and I have a case for it time to activate it. I think I know how to use it.

I'm doing alright for now as I stated. Lots has happened since I turned another year older and not sure about being any wiser. Life is still a mystery to me. If anyone has a guide to life please forward it to me.

Baseball season is almost upon us and I'm hoping that I get to go for this year. It'll be my last year with out the Dodgers and definitely something I'll be savoring one last time. After this year, I don't know if I'll be heading over to Scottsdale for some rest and relaxation.

I know that it'll be a year without anyone that I know since, most of the players that I do know have left. OK, so the relief pitchers don't count as much, but the one player that does is gone. Mark Sweeney. I have been a fan of his since I met him in 2006. That was just the best moment. I don't know if I'll see him differently this year since he'll be in a different jersey, but I still like him as a person. Forget the jersey that he's wearing.

It's less than a month away until I get to see baseball players again. I'm sure they've missed me, but some I think are just scared of me. Either way I must not scare them too much, but rather make friends with them so I get good stuff during the regular season. If Mark was around he'd toss me a ball and I'd be happy girl.

I'm totally stressed out and I know it...

As I have been stressed out for the past few months since the baseball season ended, I realize that baseball is my stress relief. I don't handle stress real well and I learned that it can give me a panic attack if I'm not careful. Having a panic attack last week Thursday was the scariest moment in my life.

I had no idea what happened and I thought I was going to pass out in the bathroom and have to be taken away in an ambulance. I think it's time for me to move on from this job. I have made some wonderful friends and I hate to leave, but it's for the health and well being as well as my sanity for me to leave.

I know that this sounds a bit strange as I have passed my two year mark, but I know that some stress isn't good for me and it's also making me depressed as well. Just last week Friday someone passed by me while I was sitting down and said I looked sad.

I was as I felt that I had just been punched in the stomach and that this was all my doing. I know that there are certain parts of me that need improvement, but I wonder if there's any medical help (therapist) that can help me.

What I really need is some form of exercise to take out my stress. I know this is all part of life and it's suppose to help you with what you do, but I think that I just have a problem with asking for help. It's sad when you think about it because the person that is in the most is myself and the person that can help me is me.

I think that either going back to school or just exploring different fields is what I need to do. I might even go back to looking for a job in web. I know I don't have the skills like those that have been doing it for 10 years, but I'm willing to learn.

As my horoscope for today says something good or something bad might be happening. With the end of this you will find something that you'll be good at.

Horoscope: It's been a long road, but you can see the end of it -- maybe a bit sooner than you had expected. Of course, each ending is a new beginning, but you probably already know what's coming up.

No One - Alicia Keys

I just want you close
Where you can stay forever
You can be sure
That it will only get better

You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cause
Everything's going to be alright
People keep talking they can say what they like
But all i know is everything's going to be alright

No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you, you, you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you

When the rain is pouring down
And my heart is hurting
You will always be around
This I know for certain

You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cause
Everything's going to be alright
People keep talking they can say what they like
But all i know is everything's going to be alright

No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you, you, you
Can get in the way of what I feel

I know some people search the world
To find something like what we have
I know people will try try to divide something so real
So till the end of time I'm telling you there ain't no one

No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you, you, you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you

oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Because of you - Kelly Clarkson

I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself
Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did,
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that far

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake
A smile, a laugh everyday of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I watched you die
I heard you cry every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry in the middle of the night
For the same damn thing

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I try my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraid

Because of you
Because of you
