The difference between an umpire and a referee...

1. Sports. A person appointed to rule on plays, especially in baseball.

ref·e·ree n. -
1. One to whom something is referred, especially for settlement, decision, or an opinion as to the thing's quality.
2. Sports & Games. An official supervising the play; an umpire.

So referees and umpires the same thing? We are not doing good now. The game is tied. Rats. Grrrr.
